LifeSource seeks a strong Quality Assurance Coordinator who will play a key role in the quality program through donor record review, participation in internal and external audits, such as regulatory and accreditation audits/inspections, and through facilitation of quality improvement activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in healthcare or health sciences, RN/LPN or equivalent with a minimum of 3+ years experience in healthcare quality assurance and quality improvement. Proven experience in auditing and process improvement is preferred and knowledge of organ and tissue donation process is beneficial.
* Must be familiar with medical records and medical terminology.
*Must be a motivated self-starter with attention to detail. Have the ability to effectively communicate and positively influence practice of others.
* Must be able and willing to achieve certifications such as Certified Tissue Bank Specialist, Certified Quality Auditor as required.
* Be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with ability to adjust schedule to accommodate organizational needs.
